Job Description

Responsible and accountable for ensuring molds and related equipment are maintained to perform to company standards. Control the repair molds, identify and solve truck tire mold/tooling problems in the plant.

Core Responsibilities:
Assist Managing Plant Mold Repair Shop.
Collects and Interprets Technical Information necessary to initiate requisitions, for Mold and tooling repair.
Create safety stock for equipment and determine schedule for worn equipment to be repaired.
Work in Cross functional team for Improvements and repairs.
Mold Transfers
Maintain and order all hand tooling and spare parts for shop.
Assist in maintaining mold parts inventory and scrapping of damaged parts.
Fill in for manager during PTO and other duties as directed by the mold Manager
Ability to read specifications.
Ability to use industrial equipment to modify minor adjustments for molds and mold containers.
Ability to understand new software for scheduling ETO and mold modification.
Keeping workplace clean and organized on a daily basis using 5S standards

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of related work experience in manufacturing
Ability to read Engineering drawings and mold specifications
Ability to operate a crane or forklift
Willing to work 8 hour rotational shift
Willing to travel for training for up to 3 months (international travel maybe required)
Ability to work in cross cultural settings
Ability work in a challenging start up environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience in Tire Manufacturing
Forklift driver certification

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, climb, frequently.
Ability to stand for long periods of time in hot conditions near mold presses
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently
